We are looking for a User Experience Researcher to join our Design team based. The ideal candidate has a passion for user experience research, interest in robots, automation, and human-automation interactions, and the ability to deliver product insights and recommendations as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.

How you will make 10x impact:

Influence product strategy and advocate for the user through clear and timely communications to partners and leadership, working closely with product managers, design lead, software developers, and strategy
Independently plan and implement strategic and tactical research to inform product launches, innovation and improvements
Study and analyze user behavior through qualitative methods, including lab studies, field visits, interviews, ethnography, surveys, concept evaluations, etc.
Develop and leverage technical and business understanding to inform meaningful research
Influence product strategy and advocate for the user through clear and timely communications to partners and leadership
Drive change by advocating research findings with actionable insights to diverse audiences through written reports, in-person presentations, and hands-on collaboration.
Lead the team in understanding and addressing real, compelling pain points, and solutions to feel more intuitive, accessible, easy—and even magical.
What you should have:

Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with research design, utilizing various research methods— including usability studies, contextual inquiries, generative studies and surveys.
Experience in conducting exploratory research in new markets, audiences, or industries
Experience leading and reinforcing a customer centric mindset to a diverse audience
Experience asking, prioritizing and successfully answering key questions for the business to drive product decisions
It’d be great if you also had these:

While not required, experience with user-centered design best practices, human factors, or information design, is preferred
Previous experience in a growth or emerging markets team is preferred
Work travel may be required, once safe and permitted to do so given COVID-19
Manufacturing, robotics, and automation experience is a bonus, and not required
Experience working with vendors to execute research
Experience as a researcher supporting early stage, zero to one products
Experience planning UX research across the product lifecycle, from early generative to mid-cycle development, to shipped UX
Experience and knowledge around foresight strategy and speculative design including trend identification & mapping, methods such as Three Horizons, Influence/Systems Mapping, & impact mapping using futures wheels, and future visioning through scenarios and vignettes with storytelling and quantitative estimates.
