**Wastewater Operator/Boiler 1** is a vital role in the daily operations of our facility. There are a variety of roles and responsibilities within this title. The types of roles available require maintaining equipment in the wastewater facility and boiler system. Troubleshooting, ensuring proper maintenance and operational status of equipment. Performing other duties as assigned, while making safety the number one priority. Wastewater Operator/Boiler 1 requires being able to read manuals written in English and the ability to write and document information.

**Principal Accountabilities**

Operating and maintaining boiler facility

Operating and maintaining waste water facility

Equipment and facility rounds to ensure proper and safe operation of system

Participation in revision or creation of operating procedures

Participation in incident investigations

Participation in compliance audits

Participation in conducting training or developing training materials

Participation in pre-startup safety reviews or management of change procedures

Participation in internal and external inspections

Assist in field verifications of Process Safety information developed as part of the BSM program

Member of BSM committee

Acknowledge System irregularities, Analyze, and communicate associated hazards

Communicate program improvements

Train themselves to eliminate hazards and to be as knowledge as possible about the system

Cleanliness and housekeeping

Documenting daily work assigned on paper and in maintenance management system

Utilize parts in inventory to repair equipment and follow procedures for documenting usage

Identify problems and make suggestions to improve operational processes

Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Truck)

**Required Qualifications**

? Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

? Must be 18 years or older

? Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent

? Must have basic math skills

? Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

? Must have knowledge of hand and power tools

? Willingness to participate in HAZMAT membership, at minimum supporting role

? Have state issued operator driver?s license

**Preferred Qualifications**

? Previous industrial maintenance experience

? Two year degree that relates to the maintenance field

? Experience using a powered industrial truck (PIT)

? Boiler 1 certification

? Class 1 Wastewater operator certification
