**Position Purpose:**



The purpose of this position is to assist the Lead Operator in assuring the lines are operating efficiently. The Relief Operator must have an intimate knowledge of the entire packaging process. The Relief Operator will normally fill in for operators and leads when they are on vacations/leave/lunch breaks as needed.



This is a rotating shift position, schedules are: 1st (6:00 am- 2:30 pm), 2nd (2:00 pm- 10:30 pm) or 3rd (10:00 pm-6:30 am) M-F.



**Principal Accountabilities:**



Responsible for the entire packaging process while following all GMP?s, food safety and quality policies and procedures.

Relieve Packaging Operators and Packaging Shift Lead who are on vacation, at lunch or meetings.

Assists Lead by assures all machinery is functioning correctly, including inspection of all Quality Control focus areas, materials, products and containers at each step of the packaging process.

Ensures the Tote/Drum Line equipment and supplies are ready.

Ensures the hold area is being maintained appropriately.

Cleans work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.

Fills supplies as needed.

Completes various paperwork and any other duties as assigned by supervisor.



Required:



Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.

Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.

High School diploma or Equivalent.

Must be able to read/write English.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation

Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

Must be able to operate machinery.

Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.

At least 6 months of experience in production related work.



Preferred:



Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word

Forklift experience

Experience with Inventory Systems

Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
