**Position Purpose:**

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that employees are trained, and skills are current and appropriate, that communication between maintenance and the other disciplines is effective, and that all work is performed according to Cargill?s Best Practices. Maintenance Supervisors are expected to develop and manage planned and available work. They will coordinate weekly with Operations to establish a week forward work schedule and will focus daily on ensuring the right person is doing the right work at the right time. They will also participate in RCA?s for all issues that meet the requirements. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day safe and efficient maintenance, upkeep and repair of the facility while:

? Ensuring equipment capability is available

? Optimizing resource utilization - backlog and overtime management

? Enforcing adherence to food safety requirements

? Coaching and developing personnel to ensure employees are trained and skills appropriate/relevant

? Overseeing maintenance daily/weekly activities including identification, kitting, coordination and execution of planned and reactive work

? Administering company policies and procedures.

? Keeping an effective team together and functioning at a high level

? Will participate in all supporting response teams, Confined space/Hazmat/First Responder

? Support and assist in forklift training for Maintenance dept

**Principal Accountabilities:**

**35%** - Maintenance leadership: Provide leadership for plant mechanical, electrical and contract technicians including predictive, preventative, and reactive maintenance. Responsibilities include but not limited to reviewing/approving labor and spend, scheduling non-routine work, validating resources, ensuring compliance to plant preventative maintenance and reliability program.

**35%** - Employee development: Create opportunities for growth and development of maintenance technicians by providing coaching and training as needed. Utilize Cargill?s documented review process and participate in interviewing of potential technicians.

**15%** - Project Planning: Completion of equipment modifications and installations following Cargill?s Capital submittal and Management of Change programs.

**10%** Safety and Food Safety: Ensure maintenance commitment of EHS and FSQR policies and regulations within the planned preventative maintenance work and scheduled activities. Represent maintenance department in facility team meetings.

**5%** - Assist in maintenance and repairs/troubleshooting of plant equipment

**Minimum Required Qualifications:**

? High School Diploma.

? 3 years Supervisory experience.

? 3 years of industrial maintenance work experience.

? Must be able to read and write in the prevalent language of technical literature utilized at the facility.

? Must have simple math skills, which includes fractions and algebra

? Must have efficient computer skills, Kronos, SAP and Microsoft applications

? Strong people management skills - ability to engage, develop, motivate and build a high performing team.

? Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.

? Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks, and prioritize accordingly.

? Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance, planning and scheduling

Moderate computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and database navigation)

Validated change management in an industrial setting

Experience in leading cross functional teams
