**Position Purpose**

The position will require the individual to have math skills and attention to detail in with weighing and documentation of spices needs that are added at the blender with raw meat. The individual will be required to run a pallet jack and forklift along with performing daily physical inventories of all spice/ingredients and casing stored in the location. The individual must be able to communicate with the blender operator and operations supervisor.

**Principal Accountabilities**

? Accountable for the production of food safe product in a fast paced manufacturing environment; comprehend weights and measurements required for product being produced on the manufacturing floor, weigh out ingredient additions according to the BOM , verifies ingredient labeling in compliance with the BOM requirements.

? Must be able to lift 50 lbs

? Individual must secure a license to be able to operate a forklift and pallet jack to move spice to the appropriate location to keep spice to supply the blending system.

? Individual will be required to perform and physical inventory and document all findings on the inventory reports to provide the department supervisor.

? Complete all required documentation accurately and proficiently along with other required written communication applicable to the job. Ensuring all processing steps have been completed and a quality product is delivered to the customer. All food handling tasks are completed properly i.e. proper packaging, weights are in the acceptable range. Assist on the production floor where needed.

? Comply with all Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

? Individual will learn and comply with all HACCP and Food Safety Policies and Procedures; Individual will insure compliance for all monitoring and verification tasks as outlined in the Food Safety Management

? Supports and contributes to effective safety efforts by adhering to established Cargill and OSHA safety policies, rules, regulations and procedures; wears appropriate PPE clothing and equipment during the performance of work duties; promotes accident prevention; reports injuries; utilizes proper lifting techniques; seeks guidance and assistance if needed; adheres to lock-out/tag-out procedures; and identifies and reports unsafe conditions

**Required Qualifications**

? Basic Math and Reading ability

? Availability to work weekends and overtime as required

? Willingness to complete procedural training for this position in the Grind Department

? Must be able to read, write and speak English

? Basic Computer Skills and Communication Skills for documentation purposes

? Must be Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

? Must be 18 years or older

? Must be able to work independently and follow set schedules and directions

**Preferred Qualifications**

? Previous food manufacturing experience

? Production experience

? Computer Knowledge and Skills

? Work History in the last 12 months
