Floaters persons on the floor set up the work area
before shift starts. Floaters will make
sure equipment and required materials are handed out and make sure work areas
are set up for employees to begin working.
Floaters will assist lead and work with employees to make sure they are
working safe and performing the job correctly. This includes daily mobile
equipment checklists. Floaters are also
responsible for making sure that orders are filled and proper product and
materials are being handled. Incoming and outgoing load paperwork will be
filtered through the lead and may entered into the computer. It will be the floaters
responsibility to assign employees to the tasks that need to be completed and
work to solve any problems that arise. Floater
will fill in anywhere needed and help the lead and supervisor run the area. The
floater will be responsible for becoming familiar with the Job Task Description
of each position in their department. They will be required to follow the
safety precautions and procedures of each job they perform.

**Environment and Physical Demands**

This role involves physical activity in a food
processing environment, which generally requires a moderate amount of exertion
on a fairly regular basis-involving bending, stooping, squatting, twisting,
reaching, working on irregular surfaces, occasional lifting of objects weighing
more than 50 pounds and frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds. Walking or standing
for extended periods of time will be required as well as the occasional use of
stairs and/or ladders. The work may also involve other exertions, conditions or
exposures (e.g. heat, cold, dust). This position is regularly exposed to wet
and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces, moving mechanical parts and
fast paced warm/cool environments. Personal protective equipment use is
required in all areas of the facility.

**Basic Qualifications**

Ability to understand the machinery process instructions and monitor and record test weighs of product.

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

**Preferred Qualifications**

Previous inventory or forklift experience
