**Business Development and Account Manager \- Asphalt \(SE Region\)**

This role is responsible for themanagement of current customer accounts and business development in our asphaltadditives segment \- securing new customers and introducing new products to thecustomers in order to achieve margin target goals\. In addition, the position will be responsiblefor growing profitability by building the market position, identifying growthopportunities and leading the development and delivery of new products,applications and services to the customer and achieving growth goals\. The position provides solutions to technicalproblems, identifies growth opportunities, identifies industry trends and leadsthe development and delivery of solutions to the customer\.

**Principal Accountabilities**

35% \- Account management \- develop and implement a strategy by accountthat defines the potential business available and details the process forcapturing the business\. This includesidentification of key decision makers, products, pricing, technical supportneeds, and other resources required to close sales\.

35% \- Business development \- translate customer needs, identify andclose technical gaps in Cargill offering that will create distinctive value forcustomers in these market segments\. Convey product and company features and benefits to prospective andcurrent customers\. Apply appropriateresources for gaining and maintaining business, with both current product lineand new products\.

10% \- Lead cross\-functional teams in the development, communication andimplementation of strategies to capture opportunities and grow businessglobally with current and prospective customers and new products in the marketcategory\(s\)\.

10% \- Developand leverage understanding of targeted asphalt segment to drive 'best in class'understanding of customer issues and potential solutions, leading to becomingsupplier of choice for key and strategic customers\.

10% Any other duties as assigned\.


**Required Qualification**

Bachelor?s degree in Science, Business or related technical fieldOR minimum 10 years? experience in asphalt industry sale

Minimum three years of commercial experience \- sales, businessdevelopment, product management, or other direct commercial experience

Ability to build long\-term, sustainable business\-to\-businessrelationships within organizations \(both internally and externally

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate value propositionswith multiple functions, resulting in increased value for both companies

Demonstrated collaboration, communication, and leadership skill

Customer champion

Strong negotiation skills

Ability to travel domestically 75%

**Preferred Qualifications**

Chemical industry experience

Minimum ten years - Commercial experience

Minimum five years \- Managing Major Strategic Accounts

Minimum three years of commercial or technical asphalt experience
