**Senior MI Analyst**

**Position Purpose and Summary**

This position will enable the data and analysis capabilities for Functions Finance providing speed to insight through the application of analysis and reporting technology\. The role will actively partner with business stakeholders to solve problems through data and the application of reporting and analysis tools\. The role requires an Analyst skilled in data, reporting and analysis best practices and technical concepts\. The role will create and deliver data sets, metrics, reports, dashboards and insights for the organization\. The role works with business stakeholders to address current initiatives and future opportunities to advance the use of data and analysis for the enterprise\.

**Principal Accountabilities**

35% Developand Deliver Reports:

Working directly with business stakeholders, the MI Sr\. Analyst will evaluate business requirements and develop and maintain reporting / dashboard solutions\. Strong communication skills are required to solicit the requirements and communicate with non\-technical business stakeholders effectively\. Soliciting of feedback from users to ensure reporting solutions are meeting the business need\.

35Ůvelop and Deliver Data Solutions:

Responsible for development and maintenance of technical solutions needed to provide an effective and efficient data to support the business analysis needs\. Through knowledge of data structures, ability to join/integrate tables in order to provide the necessary data for analytics and reporting

20%Reporting Governance and Process Improvement:

The MI Sr\. Analyst will be responsible for the governance \(standards and documentation\) of solutions developed\. The MI Sr\. Analyst will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to catalog, streamline and improve data and analysis solutions\.

10% Provide coaching and training to Analysts across the business on the use of data / analysis / reporting tools\. Helping analysts utilize the data and tools in the most efficient and effective manner\.


**Minimum Required Qualifications**

Bachelors degree

Minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience

Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration

Experience with advanced reporting, business intelligence, database querying and data warehousing concepts

Demonstrated strong analytical and decision making skills

Demonstrated ability to problem solve and take partners to understand the business context

Experience with educating and training others and/or helping stakeholders with using data and reporting to solve problems

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and operate in ambiguous situations

Strong Microsoft Tools experience including Excel, Access

**Preferred Qualifications**

Bachelors Degree in Business, Management, MIS, or Computer Science

Advanced Degree in a relevant business or technical discipline

Certification in Microsoft platform \(Access, Excel, Visio, Sharepoint\)

3years experience in a BI/Reporting or Data Analyst role

Work experience across multiple lines of business and/or within IT function

Big Data experience \(Hadoop\)


Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan

Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and identify data patterns, trends and risks

Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority

Knowlege of quality improvement or process improvement tools and techniques or willingness and aptitude to learn them \(ie: Lean, 6 Sigma\)

Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and effectively navigate the organization to identify where expertise resides

Proven ability to behave in accordance with Cargill values and ethics \[internal only\]
