**Position Purpose:**

This position will treat, evaluate, and assess employees work related injuries and illnesses\. Primary responsibilities include triage and treatment of employees with work related and personal injuries/ illnesses, OSHA recordkeeping, Cargill reporting, hearing conservation, CPR program support and instruction, workers? compensation support, and other duties as assigned\.

This position will promote the health, safety and well\-being of all staff working at the location\.

**Principal Acountabilities:**

**\- 30%** \- Evaluate/assess employee problems/concerns and determine a medical treatment plan to ensure quality medical care and/or perform preemployment physicals\.

**\- 30%** \- Maintain employee records per OSHA, and Worker's Compensation record keeping according to established policies and procedures to ensure location compliance\.

**\- 10%** \- Be a liason between health professionals, employees and other management personnel at the facility

**\- 20%** \- Ensure the professional standards of nursing are maintained and confidentiality of medical data is protected\.

**\- 10%** \- Administer all other responsibilities/duties as delegated/assigned are completed timely and accurately\.

* Graduate of accredited Nursing Program

* Current Active license to practice nursing in Arkansas

* 1yr of nursing experience

* Able and willing to work 1st and 2nd shift hours, occasional weekends and on call time\.

* Able to use independent thinking with nursing knowledge and legal limitations to make appropriate decisions and recommendations\.

* Able to prioritize and establish treatment plans and goals for employee care\.

* Demonstrate strong computer/technical skills and capabilities \(e\.g\. Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Powerpoint\)

* Very Team Oriented

* Candidate must be sensitive to the needs of a multicultural/multilingual environment

* Ability to work in continuously changing environment and multi\-task

* CPR/First Aid certification


* Associates Degree in Nursing

* Knowledge of Workers Compensation or Occupational Health

* One or more years experience in Occupational Health Nursing

* Knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping regulations and/or state Workers? Compensation regulations

* Occupational Health and/or 2 years nursing experience in emergency, orthopedics, surgery, and/or case management

* Leadership and Conflict resolution skills

* Bilingual - Spanish/English \(ability to read, write, and speak\)
