**Description**



**This full time position is located in Newark,CA; however please expect receiving calls from a 952 area code in case you are considered\. Relocation assistance is not provided\.**



This position is teamstersunion \#853 and it is responsible for, but not limited to, carpentry projects such as unfinish / rough carpentry, building and repairing buildings \(complete from foundation, framing, roofing to interior finishing\), fences, valves / gates, decking, ramps, flooring, platforms; building and installing cabinetry, and some interior remodeling, as well as some cement work\. Projects include planning, ordering material and completion of work in a timely manner\.



**Principal Accountabilities:**



Build, maintain, repair, and perform Preventative Maintenance \(PM\) on wooden structures and equipment

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, carpentry projects such as building and repairing buildings \(complete from framing, roofing to interior finishing\), fences, decking, ramps, flooring, platforms, painting

Building and maintaining salt boxes, pond gates and pond walls

Building and installing cabinetry, and some interior remodeling, as well as some cement work\.

Projects include planning, ordering material and completion of work in a timely manner\.



**Qualifications**



**Requirements:**



Right to work in the U\.S\. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third\-partyemployer\.

Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility\.

Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces\.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds\.

Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold\.

Ability to work in elevated areas\.

Must be able to read/write English\.

Ability to work overtime\.

Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts\.

At least 2 years of carpentry experience\.



**Preferred:**



Able to operate heavy equipment\.

Able to operatemachinery\.

Forklift certified

High School diploma or Equivalent\.

Basic computer skills\.

Prior experience in production related work\.

Able to perform maintenance trades including: Rigging Systems
