**Position Purpose**

Seeking a digital enthusiast who is interested and shown aptitude in a career as a digital product coach\. At Cargill, we?ve recently established a dedicated team of product developers and product coaches, whose sole responsibility is to rapidly develop software solutions for our \(mostly internal\) business partners\.

The purpose of this position is to facilitate the product developers \(similar to scrum master requirements\) and the business partners engaged on prototyping and product development projects\. Typical projects have moderate complexity \(location\-wide, country, or regional and have low to medium risk\. While serving in the role, the participant will create the following outcomes \(sometimes paired with a mentor depending on complexity\):

* Delivering functional prototypes and products in partnership with software engineers from the same team\.

* Upskilling business partners on modern approaches to delivering digital products in the context of enterprise IT and commercial product development\.

* Upskilling IT partners in agile, product development and DevOps practices\.

**Principal Accountabilities**

80% Facilitate small teams of dedicated engineers in delivering working software prototypes and early stage product development:

* Guide our business partners while they explore their digitalization initiatives through experimentation and learning cycles via our team?s ?Prototype? service\. This typically involves helping our business learn how to decompose their ideas into small, test\-able experiments that our development teams can prototype in short cycles \(6\-12 weeks, typically\)\.

* Facilitate \(similar to scrum master requirements\) the developers during prototype and product development\. activities\.

* Provide product development guidance \(prioritization expertise, lean\-principled consultation, etc\.\) to our business partners as they move from prototyping to product development phases of their initiatives\.

* Conduct and facilitate design/ideation workshops leveraging industry proven frameworks, such as UX Design, story mapping and others, to help frame the requirements of a product development effort\.

20% Mentor/Coach Teams

* Provide training session and teach skills that enable organization\-wide adoption of Agile methodologies\.

* Provide hands\-on Agile coaching to teams as well as product owners, Scrum Masters, managers and executives\.

* Guide teams towards agile development practices, providing employees with feedback and means of improvement, catalyzing organizational growth and answering questions\.

* Provide hands\-on support to employees, collaborating with individuals across widely varying levels and positions within the organization, leading teams toward further understanding and adoption of Agile as well as overall improvement\.

* Provide ?graduation? consultation to other IT teams that are moving into their own levels of agile and product maturity, especially in the context of transitioning prototypes and products into run\-state operations teams\.

* Be a champion of lean\-thinking approaches \(lean start\-up, agile, devOps, etc\.\) to product development and IT projects in general\.

* Experienced mentorship from within the team will provide a support structure for the candidate who is continuing to develop their skills in these


**Required Qualifications:**

* Bachelor?s degree\.

* At least 1\-2 years? experience in digital or IT related projects\.

* Demonstration of a personal interest in leading digital projects\.

* Experience utilizing Agile frameworks \(e\.g\. Scrum, XP, Lean, Kanban, SAFe\)\.

* Experience with account and stakeholder management\.

* Relationship building expertise with ability to work collaboratively with cross\-functional teams, customers and external alliances\.

* Self\-reliant, assertive and passionate\.

* An aptitude to empathize with our business partners and their customers\.

* Ability to facilitate product ideation/discovery leveraging techniques such as:

* Persona development\.

* UX Design Thinking\.

* Paper \(whiteboard\) Prototyping\.

* Story Mapping\.

* Project/Product/Team Chartering\.

* Other ideation techniques\.

* Ability to facilitate small teams of software engineers to rapidly develop software prototypes, potentially launching them into minimally viable products\.

* Ability to develop comms in the form of PPT and email to communicate key messages to stakeholders\.

* Results oriented and customer centric\.

* Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse teams and personalities\.

* Strong written and verbal skills\.

* Ability to be successful in ambiguous situations and a fast paced and changing environment\.

* Ability to build relationships, influence and communicate multiple levels of a global organization\.

* Travel up to 20%\.

**Preferred qualifications :**

* Certified Scrum Master or similar certification or training experience
