Cargill Ocean Transportation is a global leader indry bulk freight\. We specialize in providing our customers with physicalfreight services across all vessel sizes to reduce their costs, increase theirefficiency or grow their market share\. We are seeking a Freight Trader to joinour team in Coral Gables, Miami Florida\.

In this position you will be responsible for coveringUS Gulf / Caribbean Handy and Supramax size market and executing chartering andtrading game plans\. This includes following up on execution to ensure timelyand accurate performance\. You will be responsible for spot/medium term marketanalysis and sharing market reports with team members\. There is an emphasis oninternal customer relationship management in this role\.

** Principal Accountabilities**

10% \- Champion regional Supply and Demand SandD and/or specialize in astrategic flow to provide insights and contribute to the overall desk tradinggame plan\. Undertake freight market SandD analysis to assist in marketreading helping to anticipate market moves and maximize opportunities both forourselves and the customers we serve\.

10% \- Working within the team to optimize the cashbook, maximizingearnings for the Cargill OT fleet\.

35% \- Execute on the desk/customer game plan in the spot market bold andtimely while always complying with the Cargill vessel vetting policy andgathering market insights from brokers\.

25%\- Develop and maintain internal customer relationships, andactively participate in the account management process to _grow thecargo book_ _\._ Also build/maintain relationships with internalstakeholders _including business development_ admin/ops,accounting\.

15%\- Working closely **with the both the trading teams and theinternal product lines** to provide value added market insights andpositioning advice, creating freight opportunities for them, managing theirfreight position on spot/short term basis and providing optimal logisticsolutions\.

5% \- Work in close collaboration with all Ocean Transportationdepartments \(Middle office, Vessel Operations, Admin Operations, Accounting,Risk, Credit, ?\)



**Minimum Requi** **r** **edQualifications**

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum of 3 years of trading experience, with proven skills in analysis, risk/reward, timing, bold execution and customer focus in freight or other commodities

Solid commodity and risk management knowledge

Regional and global market view

Understanding of shipping fundamentals

Account Management skills

Experience with PandL

Strong customer focus and insight

Collaborative and team playing skills

Entrepreneurial ability and able to spot/execute on opportunities

Appetite for risk **P** **r** **efer** **r** **ed Qualifications**

* Spanish Language Skills

* Solid commodity knowledge
