**Senior Data Architect Lead**

Cargill Animal Nutrition \(CAN\) is embarking on a multiyear transformation of its business processes and technologies used at our manufacturing sites\.The purpose of the CAN232 Plant IT Modernization Program is to provide leadership for process governance:setting standards of process performance, and decision making on investment and value capture in process enablement; to champion and facilitate continuous performance improvement:assign leadership responsibility, clarify governance, create and maintain expertise networks; and to enable cross\-functional alignment:maintain the business\-IT relationship and enable forms for cross functional prioritization\.

As a Senior Data Architect Lead you are accountable for project leadership and execution to deliver value from our investments in deploying standardized Manufacturing Execution Systems\. This includes designing and deploying data performance systems\.

As a member of the CAN BPO, this role is responsible to deploy Manufacturing Execution Systems to all our Premix and Nutrition, Feed and Nutrition, and Aqua and Nutrition businesses across the globe; this requires active stakeholder management with our local CAN business, Business Operations and Supply Chain \(BOSC\) teams and Global IT\.This role is also responsible for specific projects to improve CAN?s business capabilities across Process, Data, and Technology\.Lastly, this position is accountable to effectively capture value from our business process, information, and enabling technologies by playing a leadership role in our Community of Practice Network\.

Principal Accountabilities

60% Manufacturing Execution System Project Design and Delivery

* Ensures successful execution of CAN plant IT modernization program to meet time, cost, quality and risk constraints\.

* Develops new and improves existing business capabilities by partnering with local Businesses, CAN Business Operations and Supply Chain, and as appropriate Global IT\.

* Provides content leadership to manufacturing business processes to ensure appropriate localization design decisions are consistent across CAN businesses, change management is incorporated, and appropriate controls/governance are implemented\.

* Responsible for recommending project change requests to CAN?s Global Business Process Manager for Manufacturing\.

* Understand relevant business requirements and assess needs vs\. wants, and ensure key decisions are communicated to stakeholders; change management plans for change request which are not approved\.

* Review and provide feedback on the project scope and objectives\.

* Reinforce project direction and vision to local Business and Global IT resources throughout the project lifecycle\.

* Contain and resolve issues that do not require project sponsor involvement\.

* Accelerate Manufacturing Operation Management process mapping and adhere to roadmap\.

* Escalate risks and issues as appropriate, ensures contingency plans minimize risk\.

* Delivers global template through Pre\-Assessment Workshops, identifies requirements for local Change Management and Change Requests\.

20% Process Governance and Optimization

* Playbooks, Playbooks updated with current information and learnings including hardware specs by plant size saving time within the OSC organization and business by region\.

* FSQR, EHS, Production, Supply Chain\.

* CAN Strategy work \(Data Performance, SMS, Drug Reconciliation, Quality and the ability to work on the successful implementation of these deliverables that are a part of our overall strategy\.

* Collaborates with local businesses, and Regional IT Business Partners to identify Process, Data, and Technology project portfolio\.

* Establishes business process measures, map out current state and desire to be state\.

* Analyze the process, defines factors of influence

* Partners with Global IT and local business to identify and implement improvement\.

* Monitors KPIs, assures new business capability will be sustainable

* Optimizing and Capturing Value:Effectively capturing value from our business processes, information and enabling technology\.Activities/ key indicators include: Super User Community of Practice, how well CAN manages and optimizes business processes, culture of using information for analysis and to make decisions\.

20% Community of Practice / Continuous Improvement and Value Realization

Change Leadership

Focus on CCE with businesses from the MD down to the plant floor to prepare them for change

* Responsible to transfer of Best Practice and Lessons Learned to Super Users across the global CAN organization; support, encourage and facilitate collaboration and communication between multiple CAN businesses\.

* Community of Practice:Hosts meetings with local Super Users to transfer best practices, communicate changes, and review business process metrics\.

* Quarterly Process Area Updates:Responsible to communicate key updates to Process, Data, and Technology Strategy and Continuous Improvement Roadmap\.

* Knowledge Asset Management:Ensures Business Process Documentation is regularly updated and communicated to the impacted stakeholders \(including key decisions\)\.

* Ad Hoc and Formal Support Network:Available to support inquiries from local Super Users\.

* Demonstrate and reinforce Cargill?s Guiding Principles and Cargill Leadership Model\.


* Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent work experience\.

* 10 years of business experience

* 5 years leadership experience, either direct or indirect management experience\.

* 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or similar environments\.

* Experience influencing large teams and developing others\.

* Ability to motivate people, drive accountability and achieve results\.

* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and make decisions that impact business results\.

* Demonstrated strong problem solving, attention to detail, and organization skills\.

* Knowledge of data management including database structures, data storage, retrieval needs and visualization techniques\.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English\.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and SharePoint\.

* Good understanding of project principles; including planning, cost, quality, schedule, gated process and critical path management\.

* English is mandatory\.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master?s Degree \(Preferable MBA\)\.

* Experience implementing process, systems and organizational changes\.

* Prior experience working in a complex global environment\.

* Prior experience deploying Savigent to manufacturing locations

* Business process design and implementation\.

* Effectively manage / lead significant organizational change and achieve desired results\.

* Acquire project experience to meet CAN 2025 Strategy aspirations\.

* Demonstrate broad perspective of business environment\.

* Apply knowledge to new and more complex situations\.
