**Description**



The Project Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, and supporting the execution of capital projects for the business in close collaboration with Operations Managers\. They will provide leadership and expertise in the engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, maintenance reliability, process automation, design and safety\. They will lead and execute engineering deliverables and provide support to the capital portfolio management team as well as best practices in business operations and governance\.



**Principal Accountabilities**



50%\) Project Management and Execution:





* Execute project management deliverables including project baseline development of scope, schedule, and cost\.





* Identify value\-added projects and develop business case to support investments\.





* Apply best practices to project design and manage technical reviews while connecting proper SME?s to project team





* Utilizes Cargill Project Delivery Process \(PDP\) and train new PM?s, Interns, and Coops on processes and disciplines\.





* Coordinate procurement process with vendors and work with strategic sourcing to develop and execute contracts\.





* Communicate with stake holders on project progress, scope, cost, and schedules to ensure effective and timely execution



\(25%\) Contractor and Construction Management





* Directly provides day\-to\-day contractor management and ensures safe execution of work





* Champions safety process activities\. Identifies potential safety risks and liability implications involved in specific areas of construction\.





* Solicits vendors for various work required on capital projects\. Vets and ensures compliance with Cargill Insurance and Safety requirements\.



\(25%\) Technical Engineering Guidance and Expertise:





* Analyze technical issues and provide technical guidance, support, and application of engineering principles





* Draws on general knowledge of operations to understand and support plant manufacturing capabilities, as well as long\-term usability of assets\.





* Apply technical expertise to project design and business case development





* Pursue continual development of technical capabilities



**Qualifications**



**Required Qualifications**





* Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering\.





* 2 to 5 years? experience in a leadership, continuous improvement, or project management role\.





* Experience in a plant or manufacturing environment\.





* Strong Leadership qualities\.





* Demonstrated strong coaching and communication skills\.





* Dynamic, available and high adaptability\.





* Resourceful and independent with a sense of organization\.





* Passion for teamwork while having strong personal values including integrity\.





* Reliable with strong prioritization and execution skills\.





* Self\-motivated and able to discern direction with limited and ambiguous information available\.





* Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint\.



**Preferred Qualifications**





* Able to collect and analyze data, process assessment, auditing and provide customer service\.





* Experience with SAP would be considered an asset\.
