Principal Accountabilities

80% Staff Management

Provide strategic staffing leadership

Provide management and career coaching for engineering staff

Provide thought leadership around software and technology development

Provide effective leadership, coaching, and management to ensure the technology team supports the changing needs of the business\.

Align team talents to create a culture of learning and development

Initiating, coordinate, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures with teams\.

Delivers quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards\.

Onboarding of new resources

Serve as a culture champion and work with leadership to ensure we are maintaining a workplace culture that allows employees to thrive and do their best work\.

Lead and engage in new employee recruitment focusing on expanding brand and opportunity awareness in specific communities to increase diversity of candidates and new hires\.

Maintain and Improve an employee\-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance\.

Assists with the development and administration of procedures, and guidelines to help align team members with the short term and long\-term strategic goals of FS/DI\.

Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit

20% Finance

Liaison with Associate Director of Program Management and Finance for the technology group

Ensure that all staff are using the time tracking to allow accurate tracking of project financials

Support the forecasting staffing needs / changes / partnerships

Bachelor?s Degree in either Computer Science or Engineering\.

6 or more years' experience hand\-on developing and delivering software products in an agile environment\.

6 or more years? experience managing technical resources

Experience with commercial software design concepts, practices, and procedures\.

Proven ability to influence at all levels of an organization\.

Demonstrated application of strong market awareness and customer focus\.

Demonstrated ownership of complex, timely decisions\.

The ability to communicate technical and business information effectively to both technical and non\-technical people\.

Demonstrate ability to create and manage complex development projects in a highly dynamic environment\.

Demonstrate ability to pull together diverse teams to solve problems and pursue opportunities\.

Project demands may from time to time require work during non\-standard business hours\.

Up to 10% travel is required\.

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in animal nutrition or related industry a major plus\.

Master's degree in business or related field\.

Skilled at change management and leading change\.

Inquisitive and innovative mindset with a demonstrated ability to recognize opportunities to create distinctive value that are not evident to most others\.
