**\(Night Shift\) Production Worker**

**This full time position is located in Milwaukee, WI; however please expect receiving calls from a 952 number in case you are considered\. Relocation assistance is not provided\.**

**This is a Night Shift position with an schedule of 4 days on 4 days off rotational schedule\. \(6:00 pm \- 06:00 am\)\.**

**Job Summary:**

A Cocoa and Chocolate Production Worker operates a variety of chocolate product making machinery and other associated packaging systems which produces various sizes and containers of commercial chocolate products\.

**Principal Accountabilities:**

Read schedule for production lines and communicate with the operator from the previous shift to determine the status of the lines\. \(Machinery problems change over status, availability of paste, special operating instructions, quality control issues, etc\.\)

Communicate with the lead person and packer personnel to determine if there are any problems on the packing portion of the line\.

Monitor machine performance and quality control parameters and make adjustments to machines as necessary\.

Record production data as required on log sheets or in computer systems\. Complete checklists and charts as required\.

Contact supervisor and maintenance personnel in the event of any problems with the lines\.

Perform product and packaging change\-overs as scheduled\.

Clean depositing plates, tank filters, and line filters as required\.

Perform maintenance and cleaning on lines as scheduled\.

Use pallet handling equipment to move product or packaging materials as required\. Maintain all production areas in a neat and clean condition\.

Properly account for any product spills or production scrap\.

Fill in for other department jobs as required \(Packer, Lead Person\)

Comply with all GMP, safety, sanitation and any other plant rules as established by the company\.

Follow all Food Safety \(HACCP\), GMP?s, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental programs\.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Packaging and Molding Supervisor\.

**The ideal candidate:**

Must be able to read, write and perform basic math and have keyboarding skills for data input\.

Ability to read and communicate effectively\.

Must be able to interpret work instructions, formulate plans, and express ideas and concerns effectively to co\-workers, maintenance personnel and supervisors\.

Log all actions taken in a clear and concise method\.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide 4 digit numbers\. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight \(pounds, kilograms\), percentages, or fractions\.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out multiple step instructions\.

Must be able to plan, implement, oversee, and evaluate work of all team members\.

Must be able to make decisions and upwardly communicate reasoning and results\.

Able to work with different temperature and humidity conditions in the work area that can vary from temperatures ranging of 65 degrees F up to or exceeding 100 degrees, and very humid \(near or over 80%\) to ultra\-low humidity \(less than 40%\)\.

Manufacturing processes are highly reliant on machines and as a result, noise levels can reach up to 115 decibels requiring the use of hearing protection for most of the day\.

Employees will be required to wear plastic gloves while performing duties involving potential direct contact with the product\.

Personal protective equipment \(such as safety glasses, boots, or gloves\) must be worn per company work rules\.

Employee is required to stand and reach with arms and hands, as a regular occurrence\.

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls\.

The employee is regularly required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs\.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception\.

Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility\.

Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders and open/close valves

Must be able to read/write English\.

High School diploma or Equivalent\.

Basic computer skills\.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds\.

Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat\.

Ability to work in elevated areas\.

Must be able to operate machinery\.

Must be able to operate heavy machinery\.

Ability to work overtime\.

Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts

At least 3 years of experience in production related work\.


Able to perform physical job duties including shoveling and pounding with hammer\.

Forklift certified\.
